Corporate Space Planners now have a new way of determining how many workspaces their organization actually needs. AgilQuest’s Usage Information Model (UIM) is a process for using actual use data to address the two key workforce and workplace measurements needed in the space planning process:
|
Real Workplace AnalyticsThe AgilQuest Usage Information Model (UIM) is a tailored operational model that uses data collected for any building or the entire corporate real estate portfolio on a continual basis. The model uses data from building infrastructure systems, such as security, telephony and reservation systems which recognize when people enter the building and use their assigned or scheduled workspace. These presence events are captured and maintained in what AgilQuest calls the "Commander Data Warehouse." Usage Information ModelThe UIM, based on AgilQuest’s Commander, provides valuable data analysis and trending information that enables organizations to actively manage current and future real-estate utilization to reduce real estate overhead. For example, a Usage Information Model might produce a graph that shows (a) the number of employees assigned to a facility over time, (b) the number or workspaces provided, (c) the number of assigned and reserved workspaces, and (d) the number of spaces actually used. The Real Estate managers could then see the value of their agile workplace (the difference between employees assigned and workplaces provided) and could also see if they can reduce total spaces and increase the ROI even further. |

| In this example an organization is serving nearly 425 workers with only 250 workspaces. With the cost of providing a workspace approximating $15,000 per year this company is saving over $2.5 million each year. The graph also shows that they can reduce the number of workspaces even further and save an additional $750,000. You need real measurements like these, the workplace analytics, and AgilQuest's Usage Information Model to make sustainability decisions. |
