AgilQuest Unveils "OnBoard Events"


San Diego, CA, May 4, 2008 - AgilQuest Corporation today announced a new interface to its OnBoard Workplace Management Platform. The new "OnBoard Events" displays scheduled meetings and other events on a centrally located display unit which provides people with a listing and directions associated with the meetings they attend.

The announcement was made at the CoreNet Global Summit in San Diego, CA.

The OnBoard platform serves facility and real estate executives by managing all permanent, collaborative and shared workspaces. OnBoard measures the actual use of every workspace and produces the business intelligence necessary to support space planning, building consolidations, lease analysis and reprogramming of space. OnBoard serves an organization’s workforce by allowing people to schedule workspaces, conference rooms and equipment whenever and wherever they need to work.

OnBoard Events is an automatic output of OnBoard which displays the scheduled use for any set of workspaces, usually conference rooms. Organizations place displays in strategic locations, such as lobby or reception areas, where people can easily see where their meeting is to be held. OnBoard Events scrolls through the list of scheduled meetings and displays a floorplan that dynamically highlights the corresponding meeting room. Since OnBoard Events is an integrated part of the OnBoard scheduling system, only the daily meetings that are yet to take place are displayed. Meetings that have start times that have passed are automatically removed from the display.

OnBoard Events expands the number of OnBoard interfaces that make workplace management operations simple, ubiquitous, and transparent. They include –
  • OnBoard Navigator for people who administer the OnBoard application and/or manage multiple conference rooms or multiple shared workspaces in their organization.
  • OnBoard Mobile, a web-based tool that empowers remote workers to locate and reserve the resources they need (workspaces, conference rooms, etc) from their personal computer anywhere in the world.
  • OnBoard Connect which integrates reservation functionality with Microsoft Outlook®.
  • OnBoard Kiosk which delivers OnBoard functionality to entry ways and other common areas.
  • OnBoard IPPI® (IP Phone Interface) which turns a Cisco IP telephone into a workplace management tool that shows room availability and allows immediate reservation and check-in.
  • OnBoard Scout which turns a handheld IP device, such as a cell phone or blackberry into a workplace management tool that shows room availability, allows interactive reservations and confirms use.


  • OnBoard Events is a part of OnBoard version 4.3 which is scheduled for release in July.
